A later-generation ZR-X 400 sports-naked with a transistor ignition in place of the earlier battery-and-coil setup, and a lower 53 hp rating on the spec table. The page describes it as a small, light and revvy machine whose engine needs high revs, with strong handling but firm suspension that is harsh on rough roads. Its text also refers to a 140 mph-plus top speed that is not in the spec table.
